i got to see asia's best beach... philippine's paradise. last june 10, i was on a flight to bora with my sister for a almost 6-day vacation... (di pa ginawang 7...) with cebu pacific's piso fares... we had it cheaper.. i wasn't excited until the night before... work was eating me up, got me all worried.. pressured.. damn! the more reason i set on to push this vacation, no matter what... like i said.. i needed this.
day 1.. (actually 1/4 day)
had our flight at 3pm, kinda late.... had to be pullout some wise stunt to get into our flight... arrived at kalibo at 4:30.... took the resort service via island star express.. 1.5hrs later we were in caticlan jetty airport... plus another 15mins... we got to station 3.. 7:00pm we were already checked-in the Orchids... its a cheap place for budget travelers... the rooms are ok... the service is good... with wi-fi (hihi) not so much of a view and a beachfront type but who cares... place was very native lookin.... unlike feeling ur in a hotel from manila... only 500 less a night.. spend the rest of the night walking through boracay stations... (sorry, 1st time) and finding a place to cheap place to eat... found Paradiso Grill, station 2.
day 2..
woke up and started walking to station 2, looking for souvenirs and pasalubong... picture picture along the way.... had lunch at Hawiian Barbeque, station 1. asked tips from kuya's at ate's to make our boracay stay easier and cheaper.... visited the rest of station 1 and headed back... an excruciating 30mins walk under the sun from station 1 to 3... wow! calories did burn! ang init! ibang klaseng init! saw Mikee Conjuanco and family along the way.... late afternoon we decided to swim... wohoo! the water was cool, the water was nyc... the ambiance was great.... except for encountering a drunk man; like a shark at the shores of boracay -- swimming with just his briefs on.... ewwww! kainis! sarap patayin! all the girls got irritated.... at dinner time, headed back to station 2 for fud... ate at Gasthrof.... then took frap and cake at Cafe Del Sol while waiting for friends.... later, meet them up at Sea Lovers, since we were full didn't get to have beer with them... just chat til midnight.
day 3..
early birds for island hopping day.... meet with them at 7:30... some photo ops before that... then we headed to Crystal Cove.... wow! there were a lot of people lookin at us when we arrived... haha! first stop, cave 1. took a while there.... then cave 2. due to the intense strength of the water and i dnt have a waterproof bag or cover for the digicam, no pictures on me. =( anyways, ul enjoy this place... there's a lot of great places and spots to take pictures... so, smile!
Sailing, Snorkeling and Fish Feeding... whew! we all started slow and everyone was near the katig... until everyone gets excited and decided to let go.... so wohoo! minutes later waves came in and some of us needed help... coz they were too far.... yes, i was worried for my sister... its her 1st time. i tried to reach and stick with her.... kuya was kind enough to help and lend us all a rope to make it easier... because swimming become too tiring after some time because of the waves.... everyone was catching their breathe till we reach our boat.... at last! took some time to rest then did it again! haha! Ice Cream and Fresh Buko was being sold at sea... wow!
On our way home, a massive rain cloud caught us.. so, we were all wet as can be... we enjoyed the rain til we get back to boracay... none of us wanted to go back yet, so we all stayed swimming in the rain... while bargaining with kuya for the potential banana boat ride... haha! The rain took awhile even until the time we needed to have lunch.... we ate at Andok's, near station 3; city skirts... yeah, we messed up their floor. after eating, we all decided to go back to our resorts and rest... and meet up for dinner....
Rain stopped for a while but still continued just before dinner time... huwaw! (asar!) i sleep.. continued watching Grey's... and still its raining.. damn! im hungry.... rain stopped at around 9 pass... too late for us to go and i was feeling lazy... plus the undeniable fact that i was working... (haay!) went out and bought food at the nearby karinderia... total bill, 70 pesos.
day 4..
started the day late... we were tired.... had american breakfast then off we go.... walked to station 1.... for shakes... sarap! got to tried it! Jonah's Fruit Shakes, station 1. after walked towards grotto and picture picture! swimming... for a couple of hours then walked again towards the much high-class resorts and picture picture... then off to puka beach.... rented a tricycle for it. 15-20mins drive to get there... wow! more souvenirs! then had lunch at Tesebel Ihaw Ihaw, most of what we had was seafood.. squids and fish... while eating... a korean motorcade came in... what was goin on? we didn't find out... they were riding the mini truck like car... hehe.. dunno what its called... after eating off to puka beach... huwaw! another view... picture! picture! its hot in there... ur skin will definitely feel it! but i like my pictures there...
went back but told the driver to drop us off at station 0... haha! (tip of stretch) so we could walked from there to station 1 then 2.. then 3... well, there were a lot of seaweeds there... very peaceful.. there were customers staying at the resorts but only a few.... for rich peeps... we liked the quiteness of the place, so we stayed to chat and rest while laying on the bamboo seats... yah! i took a nap.. haha! (they didn't know!)
after some time, we started walking back... i didn't know that boracay had that place... we reach a spot full of rocks... and a walk-way made beside the rocks to get to station 1. cool! astig! it was low tide so, ul get amazed. so, i saw boracay terraces... fridays... tjheaven... a boracay wedding rehearsal.. how sweet!
went home and meet up for dinner... had buffet dinner at Liebevoll, station 2. eat all u can at 295, margarita for drinks and ice tea. met crissy the very controversial no holds bar staff.. then videoke til 2am.... owner was nice.. he was concerned with our mic.. a group of koreans went it and join us... sing/dance and took pictures with us.... they sang they own version of dancing queen... haha! they are funny! at some point, we became sensational to all passers by... everyone was watching... ended the night with the original PBB theme sing and dance number...
day 5..
woke up late... ate american breakfast again... went out late for more souvenirs... had henna... stroll at D Mall... meet up with our friends.. they're leaving... stayed there for a while to help... and to watch TV (hehe, PBB 24/7) bid goodbye then ate lunch... explored the hotels and inquired for biz purposes.... headed back to Orchids and rest... finished Grey's Anatomy.... (haha!) around late afternoon, went out for a swim... til sunset.... saya! around 6 or 7... ate merienda... pancakes and shakes... sarap! then after went back to Orchids... around 9-10 went out to go to the bar... MO2 Wave... tonixband was on.. i like them! specially the RnB guy, he's fat but he's ok! very nice voice. went back 1am...
day 6...
woke early to catch sunrise which i soon find out to be impossible coz sun doesn't rise in boracay.. boo! so, went back to slyp again.... woke around 8am again, had breakfast and packed up... we're leaving at lunch time.... around 10... went out to go at D Mall for lunch and crepe... yummy! went back to Orchids and bid farewell.... bye bora! =(
all in all... the sun was hot! the water was great.. the people we're warm... the crowd was fun! had a nyc 1st time in bora.... sure there's a nxt time!
